CITB Training Grants
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) provides grants to levy-registered employers to help cover the cost of training.

- Covers CPCS technical tests and NVQ assessments
- Grants paid directly to the employer after training

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, in some circumstances. If you are claiming Universal Credit or Jobseeker's Allowance, you may be eligible for funding through the Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP). Additionally, some employers will fund training on your behalf. Contact us to discuss your options.
Your company must be registered with and paying the CITB levy to claim grants. Most construction and engineering businesses with a wage bill above £80,000 are required to register. If you are already levy-registered, CPCS courses and NVQ qualifications are eligible for grant funding.
CITB grants are claimed by the employer after training has been completed. You will need to register on the CITB's online portal and submit a claim with evidence of the training. RELO Training can provide all necessary documentation. We recommend speaking to your CITB advisor before booking.
Yes. NVQ qualifications in lifting operations are eligible for CITB grant funding when the employer is levy-registered. Apprenticeship Levy transfer funding can also be used towards NVQ qualifications in some circumstances. Contact us to find out which option suits you best.
This varies by scheme. CITB grants are typically processed within 6–8 weeks of a completed claim. Regional funding through Growth Hubs can take longer depending on the scheme. We recommend confirming your funding route before booking to avoid delays.
